The record store has no name, just a sign saying “Records” and another on the door flipped to “Open.” It’s part of the industrial zone revival project the city started a decade ago, throwing money at whatever project wanted to pop itself up in an abandoned industrial building. They slowly crept in, art studios and odd little storefronts, an indoor amusement park taking advantage of a big open warehouse space, a new library, a community garden.

The store’s owner sits at the desk near the door, paging through a magazine boldly bearing the headline "100 Famous Hauntings Explained!"
